Koonunga Ag Bureau

The Koonunga Agricultural Bureau was formed in 1928, with the Koonunga district being surrounded by the three nearby towns of Nuriootpa, Kapunda and Truro.

We currently have about 40 members, ranging in age from 20 to 85 years old and our monthly meetings reflect members’ diverse enterprises, which includes viticulture, broadacre cropping, sheep, dairy and beef. The meeting schedule also incorporates an annual crop and pasture walk, annual vineyard walk and annual day trip outside the region.

Koonunga Ag Bureau has previously conducted the ‘Koonunga Sustainability and Biodiversity Project’, through  funding from Caring for our Country, Adelaide and Mt Lofty Ranges NRM Board and the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources.

The Koonunga Ag Bureau’s monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month and visitors are always welcome. If you are interested in attending or would like more information about the Koonunga Bureau please contact secretary Brenton Mengersen (0409 282 708).
