5 x FREE student tickets to BIGG Annual Conference up for grabs!

Barossa Improved Grazing Group (BIGG) has teamed up with the Grassland Society of Southern Australia Inc (GSSA) and the AW Howard Trust to offer up to five young people free attendance to the upcoming BIGG 2025 Annual Conference Moving Towards Greener Pastures on Thursday 13 February at Lambert Estate, Angaston.

The bursary is available to students studying agriculture (or have a strong interest in agriculture) at High school (year 12 only), TAFE or University and will be awarded on a ‘first-in’ basis.

To apply for the bursary students are required to register for the BIGG Annual Conference at www.biggroup.org.au/membership-form/ selecting the ‘AW Howard Trust student bursary applicant’ option. Successful applicants will be notified shortly after.

“The GSSA and the AW Howard Trust jointly share the value in connecting students to industry by assisting attendance to conferences. Offering the student bursary to the BIGG Annual Conference is a great opportunity to encourage and support young people in the Barossa region as they move into their early agricultural careers” said Tim Prance, Grassland Society of Southern Australia Chair.

“BIGG is thrilled to receive joint funding from GSSA and the AW Howard Trust to give our young people the opportunity to connect with the local livestock industry at the BIGG Annual Conference” said Alexi Kentish, BIGG Executive Officer.

“With the conference featuring a line-up of prominent speakers, students will gain awareness and understandings of key topics facing the industry. The conference is also a great chance to build industry connections and relationships” added Alexi.
