More Beef from Pastures: expressions of interest now open

The Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) More Beef from Pastures program is being reimagined and relaunched. As a part of this, a limited number of pilot producer learning groups are being formed and BIGG is seeking expressions of interest from Barossa beef producers to form a group commencing May 2026.

The program involves a two-year commitment in a small peer group, facilitated by a trained advisor. Participants will gain practical, hands-on learning using their own herd and pasture data, and access cutting-edge technical content and tools tailored to southern beef systems. The full cost of participation will be reimbursed.

Who should apply:
Self-replacing beef enterprises with at least 50 heifers, (there is some flexibility if you are slightly under the minimum heifer number) committed to continuous improvement and open to learning and sharing with others.

For more information or to register your interest please contact Deb Scammell, BIGG Technical Facilitator, 0407790622 or deb@talkinglivestock.com.au

Further details on the program are also available in the MLA More Beef from Pastures FLYER.
