Angaston Ag Bureau – BGi Building Group visit

On Tuesday 7 th April, 2026 the Angaston Ag Bureau invite BIGG members to tour with them at BGi Building Group in
Nuriootpa. The tour will be led by Charles Edwards, Managing Director and his team, with a particular inspection of
the new fabrication facility. It starts at 7:30pm, and bring a chair and supper plate.

BGi Building Group is a family-owned, Barossa based building company, specialising in steel construction. Since its
establishment in 1977 by the Zerna Family, BGi has established itself as a trusted and reliable company within the
building and construction industry. Purchased by family in 2021, Charles & Meggie Edwards continue to see BGI
Building Group a South Australian Family owned & run business.

BGI Building Group formally established as Barossa Garages in 1977. The business started installing residential sheds,
verandahs and fencing in and around the Barossa region. In 1987 Frank Zerna purchased the Nuriootpa property,
and began building its own premises where it continues to do business to this day. Upon completion the business
soon began fabricating and manufacturing its own steel framed structures.

BGi Building Group offers a complete client solution right from inception and specialise in residential, agriculture,
winery, commercial industries and custom design projects.

For agriculture, whether you require a large-span shed for machinery or separated side-by-side bays for hay and
feed, the BGi team will work closely with you to design a functional solution for your rural application. BGi build
