BIGG AGM 2021

The Barossa Improved Grazing Group celebrated the second year as an Incorporated Body at it’s AGM on Thursday 21st October at Wanera Wine Bar in Angaston.

The evening saw a changing over of some members of the Board, including Peter Mitchell, a sheep producer from Angaston stepping into the Chair role. Pete has been on the board since it’s inception, and continues to play an active role within the rural community and has been willing to share his own farming stories within the BIGG community. Ian Koch, has been a fantastic support in shaping the BIGG Board for it’s first two years and will continue to support the Board through his role as Vice Chair.

The AGM also saw Chris George, local Mt Pleasant Producer, stepping back from the Board, and Stephan Anesbury filling his role. Stephan is an active goat producer at Mt Pleasant and has recently started a pasture and rural contracting business. We look forward to welcoming Stephan to the Board and thanks Chris for his continued support.

The evening also includes a session on wellbeing, which included presentations from Dr Bill Gransbury, James Wagner, Barossa Council’s community connector and representatives from the Seeds of Hope Suicide Prevention Network. The session provided valuable information about looking after ourselves and helping others.
