Regular soil assessment is the best way to monitor soil health. Soil testing in the lab enables landholders
to monitor nutrient levels in their paddocks and determine whether or not fertiliser is required to
maintain optimum levels of productivity.
However there are other tests that landowners can do themselves to check basic soil characteristics.
This interactive webinar will demonstrate best practice soil testing to monitor soil health specific to
the Hills and Fleurieu region.
This Healthy Soils Healthy Landscapes webinar is presented by the Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board,
supported by the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program
AGENDA
• Assess your soil in the field for soil health attributes,
• Describe your soil so that you can understand its
capabilities and limitations, and
• Sample your soil for further testing in the lab if needed.
